Publisher Description

A short story, historical fiction. Christian and Ada are out riding, on their way to have a much needed 4th of July picnic together after a long, hard winter of isolation in their prairie homestead. Suddenly a gunshot rings out and kills Christian for no reason; it is a random, senseless act by an unknown assailant. Ada must bring him back to their pioneer prairie homestead and bury him, then go on with her life. She does not know what she will do, and she goes through many thoughts and emotions in the days that follow, but she learns to trust herself and expands into the Truth and the universe that is around her and within herself. She learns much from the experience and it is an inspirational and motivational story that also has much relevance in today's world of random mass shootings and gun violence. We can all learn from it, and we all have Ada's strength within us. I have added seven of my original artworks to the book, which can be ordered through Fine Art America.
