Blood Quantum, Book Two: The Twist Inside

The shapeshifting Myar clans have taken Indlay.
Aided and abetted by Indlayan Turnbloods, the
Myar have successfully conquered the entire
country. Watchtowers dominate the landscape,
and intimidated into submission by the threat of
the rapacious, demonic Sand Dervishes, the
Indlayan people are pressed into service on
massive, mysterious construction projects.
Meanwhile, Illeana Grey, having escaped the
occupied city of Revinport, is left friendless and
alone. Her lover Taran, swept away in the
fighting and horrified by the revelation of Illeana's
own ability to take cat form, may be lost to her
forever.
She finds a travelling companion in Tal, a
renegade Myar, shunned by his people for his
inability to shapeshift. But when they encounter a
caravan of Myar on their way home to Sian Myar,
Illeana's fate takes yet another unexpected and
dramatic turn.
