Great Read
Blood, Sweat, and Desire was a great read by Britney King. In this book, six friends confront a fateful decision that spirals into a dark and twisted journey. A drunken night away, finds three couples spontaneously agreeing to swap spouses for the weekend. All three couples are friends and they think what could possibly go wrong. One of the spouses is found brutally murdered and they start to wonder if they knew each other as well as they thought they did. Emily is a successful businesswoman that seems to have an ideal marriage. She becomes entangles in guilt and suspicion all while her life starts to spin out of control.Emily has to come to grips with the dark side of herself and the people she thought was closes to her. This is another great read by Britney King and it kept me guessing until the last word. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
A thrill ride
As always, this was a very enjoyable thriller. The thing I love most about Britney King’s books is that there is often a story within a story and that fact adds a level of depth that aids in building suspense. The story started a lot like Clue, which I really enjoyed but then became more of a different type of suspense thriller. The characters aren’t always what they seem and the plot can show the repercussions of decisions made. Personally, I did not find myself liking any of the characters and I think that was intended. Excellent read!
