Clients are dying to visit this marriage counselor
A solid 4 1/2 the only reason for the downgrade is language and adult situations. Personal preference
Ollie — he admits not a very professional name for his line of work. He’s in the line of marriage counseling is not a very likable character, at least not for me. He has a “referral” service with a divorce lawyer and a guy who does video surveillance for him as needed. So he really doesn’t care if his clients reconcile or not.
Personally he has divorce papers in his desk that he refuses to sign and a strained relationship with his only child, a daughter Amy. When his most recent client is murdered, things change quickly for Ollie. I won’t go any further with the plot because I want you to read it for yourself. It starts out a little slow, at least was for me. But it does speed up and has a surprising ending. Ollie did grow on me as the story progressed, I did seem to care more about him that at the beginning of the book.
I received an ARC from the author in E-format. This did not effect my review.
I previously read a short story by this author, Sleep, that was wonderful as well. Enjoy I did see on Amazon this is part one, looking forward to the second book
