Monig's latest feverish Fae dispatch (after Darkfever) finds that in Dublin "the walls are coming down between Man and Faery." That means that the Buffy-like services of MacKayla Lane the 22-year-old Georgia-born sidhe-seer (or one who can see the Fae) and slayer are required. Awesome read!
The evolution of MacKayla Lane continues with this novel. I love watching the fluffy pink girl that Mac starts out as grow and evolve and the more I see of Barrons the more I love him! What a great character!
Bloated series drags on
This is the second of a five book series that tells one story. Each book ends with a cliff hanger, mid-scene, encouraging the reader to continue on. This book cannot stand alone, yet is bloated with extended summaries from the previous installment. This should have been a three book series, but the author drags it out across five. This one in particular is woefully short on length and story and should have been combined with book 3.
