Blue Bucket

One stormy spring morning, Kit O'Maley takes a swan dive to the pavement to avoid a speeding car in the Hazelnut Grove Primary School parking lot. She bandages her injuries and stoically faces another day of teaching, but it soon becomes apparent that the frightening incident is only a prelude of what is to follow. Later that morning an unexpected invitation arrives, one that sends her carefully controlled life spiraling out of control and into the antique capital of Oregon, Aurora. Soon Kit is ensconced in a historic home, the scene of a recent murder, and she's struggling to distinguish trash from treasures in her newly acquired antique shop. Nosy neighbors seem to have their own agendas, her money-hungry kinfolk aren't feeling that family love, and everywhere she turns she's confronted by whispers from the past: a cache of gold nuggets, Oregon's lost Blue Bucket. To top it off, Kit must overcome her fears and uncover a murderer before she becomes the next victim.
