Well-developed characters all around. Good proofreading. Interesting story. A pleasurable few hours!
Masterfully Written Prose
Characters literally grab you by the heart strings and drag you through the desperate streets of longing, tentative trust and carry you along in their journey with bittersweet, quiet strength. I was helpless to the grip of their story, anxious to see their struggles through, and tearful with joy when they managed to see the battle through their own demons to the other side. Simply beautiful.
Entertaining
Starts out somewhat harsh, but quickly moves past it to a story filled with humor, sexy overtones, and threads of mystery. This was the first contemporary novel I’ve read of Patricia Rice’s, all the rest were historical with a touch of paranormal, so this was very different than what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it!
