Bob Seger Anthology
Bob Seger,Good ol'fashioned rock'n roll music without any baloney. One great song after another, you can hear the song and see in your minds eye tom cruz sliding across the floor to take those ol records off the shelf. If you have any intrest in Bob Seger then you will enjoy this album. if your lucky enough to live in the country and have a back porch and the neighbors aren't too close. Then put this on and turn it up, and if your alone you can do the Ol'records off the shelf your self.Without anyone looking of coarse.buy and enjoy.
What about the Bob Seger System?
What is disappointing to me is the exclusion of the music that made Bob Seger famous in the first place. That would make this anthology complete. Songs like "Lucifer," "Heavy Music," "River Deep, Mountain High," "Bo Diddley," "Leanin' on my Dream," "Highway Child," "Mongel," "Mongrell Too," "Let it Rock," "Song to Rufus," etc... I don't know why Bob Seger never released his earlier works that were supported by all his Midwest fans. I don't know if it is a legal thing or what. All I know is that is what I grew up with and loved. I feel fortunate to have all his early work to be able to listen to. I feel fortunate to have met Bob on his way up while assisting in setting up his equipment in a small roller skating rink in Bay City back in the summer of 68. The bass drums set up above the drummer on the right and left with duct work directing the sound out front. Release the early Bob Seger System and you will hear the soul of Bob Seger. Your "new" stuff is still good but....your old music is fantastic.
