Star Nighthawk second baseman, Bobby Hernandez, shunned groupies looking to share his bed and his bank account. Seeking a woman who would help him recapture the Dominican culture he'd lost was like finding a four-leaf clover…until he met smart, sassy, in-your-face Elena Delgado, newbie reporter.
A confrontation, and a hostile interview couldn't cool the sparks igniting between them. Secrets smoldered. Lies were revealed. Could Bobby stop protecting his heart and take a leap of faith? Would Elena risk everything for him, or sell him down the river to get ahead?

Another home run with this one!!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a wonderful story. It was so heartwarming to read Bobby's history and all that made him a wonderful star. Elena, a reporter, truly was wonderful in her morals about her work and her friendships. I just loved the two of them. They are the perfect couple. Both coming from the Dominican Republic and coming to the US but in different ways. It really made me feel blessed to have been born here. There characters and the story are both so believable. Ms. Joachim's writes in such a way that I feel like I am right there in the middle of the story. I felt like I was with friends. I so highly recommend this story to anyone!!!!
