Bobby Ray Breaks the Universe

Bobby Ray is in all kinds of trouble. He want’s to kill Tom for sleeping with Matty (Matthias), Bobby Ray’s ex. Well, he’s already broke all the Commandments, so what’s one more. “Thou Shalt Not Kill.”

He’s rudely interrupted by an angel, demanding he not break, that last commandment. But then along comes temptation in the way of a dark demon. They get very up close and personal and the demon want’s to make a deal with Bobby Ray.

Well, Bobby Ray can’t figure out why the angel and the demon are so hung up on this one commandment. He goes to Baptist church and talks with his friend the Reverend Curtis Cunningham. Reverend Curtis has no idea what Bobby Ray’s angel and demon issue is. He tells Bobby Ray he will do what he can to find out. Until he finds out he tells Bobby Ray not to do anything, stay away from everyone until he can find an answer. Bobby does the best thing and locks himself inside his apartment. But of course that’s a failure when a pounding comes to his door. Just what he needs, another person he’d like to kill, his ex Matty. Matty apparently has been sent by the angel, and Matty is none to happy about that. But he’s come anyways to make sure Bobby Ray doesn’t totally screw up.

Things get even crazier for Rev. Curtis. Bobby Ray and Matty will find themselves in Israel looking for the reverend who now seems to be possessed. Bobby Ray will still have to figure out what to do about the powerful demon and the five pound sphere. It will send him and Matty and newly acquired friends on an expedition to find a mysterious shrine.

Rob Rosen creates “Bobby Ray Breaks the Universe” with comedy, erotica and some actual facts about various religions. Rosen brings out information on how the Jewish, Muslims, and Christians believed in similar teachings and how the teachings gradually disappeared or erased. The stories of angels and fallen angels (demons) dwindled also. He also gives insight to some famous places in Israel: Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and The Wailing Wall and more. Rosen knows how to bring some seriousness to his comedy, along with: sadness, snark, steamy moments, chaos, and loads of fun.

As the tale is all about Bobby Ray and the importance of him changing his destructive ways, it brings out good versus evil and redemption. Also it brings Bobby Ray to realize there are others who are willing to help him and most of all be his friend. They’re all behind Bobby Ray and just possibly he can change his ways and be a better person.

Along with Bobby Ray and Matty there’s a host of characters that bring more delightful moments to this tale: Justine, Rev. Curtis, Rabbi Weinstein, Israeli Officer Abe Schwartz, Zayn the Palestinian archaeologist, and of course an angel and a demon.
