Don’t Waste Your Money
None of these exercises are new to me, but many of them are so inefficient at what they are meant to strengthen, I stopped doing them in my 20s.
If you are new to working out, some of these exercises are going to be entirely inappropriate for you, even after 12 weeks of working out. Some of the exercises claim to work muscles that aren’t physically possible with how gravity works.
The author renamed a few exercises, Bulgarian split squats being the worst offender in this category, so if you’ve already been working out, it’s going to be annoying. If you’re new to working out, you’re not going to be able to effectively communicate with trainers or others who have already been working out.
There is nothing new presented in this book. You could easily get all of this information for free from any online article about working out after 40. It honestly doesn’t present anything that isn’t part of general workout advice for any age. This book made a lot of promises and it kept none of them.
