Peter Mayle has been one of my favorite authors from the first time I read A Year in Provence. His humor is delightful and he captures the eccentricities of the French in a delightful manner. I have become quite the Francophile traveling there in the last 20 years and appreciate the fondness he shows to his characters and locations. Bon Appetite is a new favorite, I will reread along with all of his books!
