While on vacation from the city in a quaint North Carolina town, Nora runs into her archenemy, Charlie Lastra, the editor who rudely trashed her client’s new book. Nora’s aware that, according to the rules of a romance novel, their hate should turn to love—and the crazy part is that it does. We love how Emily Henry puts a self-aware twist on the witty will-they-won’t-they romance genre. If there’s room in your heart for an inventive love story, Book Lovers is for you.

A little predictable but loved her writing style, felt that the story was abit stretched, I loved the last chapters even better! Good read regardless.
It’s good but…..soooo repetitive
This book should be a 4-5 star, but by golly if I have to hear Nora “I have to protect her” one more time about her GROWN, HAPPILY MARRIED sister, I may gag. I mean we GET IT. Nora has baggage, but boy do they repeat it over and over and over and over again. Loved Charlie and loved Nora when she wasn’t going on and on about the same thing. Like girl, WE GET IT. Not Emily’s best work I fear.
Not the best, not the worst
The enemies to lovers trope can be so fun but something about this wasn’t involved enough. There just wasn’t enough banter. Too much focus on the secondary characters and the interactions lost momentum. I just wasn’t excited to find out how it ended and almost didn’t even finish reading it. Kinda boring. Skimmed a lot to get to the point.
