Publisher Description
Picking up where he left off in My Booky Wook, movie star and comedian Russell Brand details his rapid climb to fame and fortune in a shockingly candid, resolutely funny, and unbelievably electrifying tell-all: Booky Wook 2. Brand’s performances in Arthur, Get Him to the Greek, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall have earned him a place in fans’ hearts; now, with a drop of Chelsea Handler’s Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, a dash of Tommy Lee’s Dirt, and a spoonful of Nikki Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries, Brand goes all the way—exposing the mad genius behind the audacious comic we all know (or think we know) and love (or at least, lust).
Customer Reviews
Familiarity breeds contentment.
I enjoyed Russell Brand's My Booky Wook so much I was reluctant to read Volume 2. I find I actually enjoyed Volume 2 more.
The people were fascinating in My Booky Wook but I was unfamiliar with British comics, writers, politicians, and newspapers. As an American, I had to paddle my Booky Boat furiously just to keep up with the slang! Luckily, there were some footnotes to help.
In Volume 2 the reader is reunited with the glamorous, intelligent Russell and his Mad Circle. There are also new show biz situations to wonder at and new people to meet.
A word of warning: Russell doesn't pull his punches. There's hard honesty here. And the touching romantic ending turns bittersweet in light of subsequent events. But Russell's life has always been a roller coaster ride. We're lucky he writes so well, survives so well, and is willing to share.
Incredible book!
The reviewer 2 spaces below me a is just a conservative uptight bum hole, who has absolutely no sense of humor. This book is hilarious and the man is a genius. Really recommend!!
