Long and meandering
The action parts are few and far between, but when you get to them they are good. There is a lot of repetition that had me skimming quite a bit. Lots of dialogue that didn’t need to be there. I did enjoy Reaver and knowing that this is a prequel for the Blood and Ash series.
Good but not great
This one was too long for me. Too many battles and too much….basically porn.
Too much sex
I loved the first and second book but starting from the 3rd one it got boring…the only good part of the 3rd is when sera was dying and nyktos realizing he DOES love her. For the time being I can’t even think of one positive with the 4th book. One of my biggest issues with this story is that there’s just too much sex scenes, at times I feel like I’m reading porn instead of romance. I’m so tired of reading him getting hard and her getting aroused…ugh can’t we get better story telling or more interactions with other characters instead of another 10 pages of them having sex? It seems like a high school boys understanding of what love means!
