Born Too Soon

A raw, down to earth account of a 91 day journey through a

Neonatal Unit with a First - time Mother and her Son; who was

spontaneously delivered at 28 weeks gestation. For those who have

never experienced the intense emotional rollercoaster that living life in a

Neonatal Unit evokes; this story is an insight into what each Premmie

Mum faces on a daily basis. For those Mums who HAVE lived it, you will

empathise and relate. And for those Mums about to face the journey; it

is hopefully an inspiration to you - something you can draw strength and

comfort from. Its also about a personal battle with Post Natal Depression,

and the profound effects it had on the Author.

Giving birth is one of Lifes greatest miracles and gifts; but when it doesnt

go according to plan, and your experience is anything BUT conventional

- it can leave you emotionally debilitated. Life in a Neonatal Unit is one

of the most humbling and confronting things a Mother can experience

- but take heart; because through all the tears, there ARE moments of

joy. And even though at times it may feel like it - You are never alone.

This is just ONE story amoung thousands; shared openly to offer solace to

new Neonate Mums. The Author is also pledging to donate a percentage

of all royalties from each book sold, to the RFDS and to The Flinders

Neonatal Unit; Two very worthy recipients that deserve the recognition for

the amazing work they do.
