Bound by Stardust

In the 31st century, Earth is in the middle of an intergalactic tryout. After generations of negotiations, an advanced civilization thousands of light years away now determines whether to open their gates to us. To gain their knowledge would be like communing with elder gods. Gods who had figured out the key to immortality.

Most of that doesn't concern Lina, who grew up on Earth and has never even been to space. But she's always felt an itch, the starry sky calling to her every night. Finally she's cutting the cord from her family to take her first space contract. But aside from the low-G sickness, it's not what she expects at all.

And then she makes one choice that changes everything.
