Her magic makes her a target. Falling for her hotter-than-hell vampire rescuer might get her killed...
Kayla's magic is dangerous. If it destabilizes, it'll level a city block in minutes. A power, every supernatural in the city wants a piece of.
Which is why she's spent her entire life suppressing it. A resounding success until she's kidnapped then rescued by a brooding sexy-as-sin vampire whose touch makes her magic explode from her.
Which absolutely can't happen.
Not when containing her magic was the only thing keeping them alive...
If you love fast-paced romances with steam, high-tension, hot protective vampires, and feisty heroines, this one is for you.

Great read!
A wonderful story with great characters and story line. A dangerous journey full of action, suspense, magic and supernatural beings. I really enjoyed reading this story and can’t wait for more.
Loved it. Want more.
“Carissa hadn’t proved she could be trusted, but she knew things about magic that she didn’t. Things she ought to know.” What a confusing sentence! There are two women referenced here, and I was almost confused trying to sort the two out. Aside from that, the writing is addictive, and I loved the story so far.
Kayla is a witch who takes drugs because she is understandably scared of her pyrokinetics after her first experience. Unfortunately, that gets her in trouble when kidnappers arrive and capture both Kayla and her roommate, Breanna. Breanna is taken to the vampire blood auction (yikes!) while Kayla is caged by wolf shifters, mostly for a life-sucking type of witch who wants to play with her. Yikes even more!
When Garrick, a vampire, arrives at the auction, he immediately smells her and goes searching. Their intense attraction reminds me of Ruby Dixon’s “Bound to a Battle God” more than the typical mate-bond. The bond is a plot element rather than the focus of the story. He is not searching for a bloodbag. He has a duty and saving her only interferes with his work. For Kayla, her witchy father and witch community treat vampires as enemies…and you will have to read all the ways they create obstacles to his tagging along with her.
1. Highly entertaining
2. Urban Fantasy
3. Fated Mates
4. One or two night read
Negatives:
• Endless episodic story 😕
• This is so good, but I like complete story arcs, not comic books!
• I used to love comics, but they had pictures!
