Brain Maker by Dr. David Perlmutter and Kristin Loberg | A Review

Brain Maker details the complex microbiome that lives in the human gut and how it affects the brain. Rising rates of Alzheimer’s disease, mood disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), multiple sclerosis, autism, and other conditions are linked to imbalances in the thousands of microorganisms that colonize the gut, primarily bacteria. Disruptions to this microbiome can begin at birth for children born via cesarean section because these babies do not acquire their mother’s microbiome traits from the birth canal. Instead, they pick up less beneficial bacteria from exposure to skin. Then there is the ultra-clean, antibiotic-laden, high stress  lifestyle and low-fiber diet of the United States and other wealthy nations. Finally, exposure to environmental toxins also leads to disruptions to the microbiome.

Good book, we must understand the relationship of diseases and feeding

The body is something extremely complicatet, through the centuries, we still can not understand it completely. It is very important to know and expand our knowledge on the subject. Excellent eye-opening book about the disease and lifestyle. Definitely stress and unhealthy foods are dangerous

It's easier to understand the medical book through a review

There are so many things that affect the microbiome of the human gut, I couldn't have imagined that it could be the microorganisms imbalances which are responsibly for disorders of mood and attitude. It's good to read this review of a technical book in more easy ways to understand

Amazing book, very interesting

An incredible book you have to read !. This book is one of my favorites is very interesting and very useful. You learn very interesting things, for example I did not know that higher rates of Alzheimer's disease is linked to imbalances in microorganisms in our gut, really worth reading and see how your brain is related to other parts your body.
