✓ Opposites attract
✓ And an unlikely meet cute
Only an idiot would stand up Lily Tyler, a Grammy-winning global rockstar.
And yet, here I am.
I know what happens to men who get tangled up in a woman like her. They don't survive it.
So when my mother bids on a charity date without telling me, I do the smart thing. I cancel.
The second time? I ignore her.
I expect her to brush it off. Maybe send an irritated text.
I don't expect her to hunt me down.
Now she's at my door, all blonde hair, flashing blue eyes, and a voice dripping with challenge.
She wants to know why.
Why I didn't show. Why I don't care. Why I don't want her.
The truth? I do.
And yet, when she asks me out again — just for coffee, just to clear the air — I say yes.
One hour. That's all she gets.
One hour to prove me right.
Or maybe — just maybe — prove me wrong.

Safety: no cheating, no s. violence, no sharing, no OM/OW drama except that which the Paparazzi lied about, no cliffhanger, HEA.
Triggers- language, explicit erotic content, unscrupulous media.
Tropes- Bachelorette Auction, Strangers to Lovers, Cinnamon Roll Hero, Long-Distance Relationship.
What I liked- both main characters seemed like decent people. I particularly liked how down to earth Lily was, and how much she enjoyed interacting with her fans. I liked that Rhys wasn’t some model, but a quiet but sexy IT guy. And I loved that a good portion of the book took place in Wales 🏴♥️!
What I didn’t- I didn’t like his mother, though, even if she meant well.
Extras- there’s a link to a free bonus epilogue as well as a playlist. I love it when a book has a playlist.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
