Publisher Description

My story isn’t a love story … not the typical kind anyway.

As a lawyer, I’m used to discovery, but I never saw this one coming.

Every day, River gives me ten reasons to stay away, and then eleven reasons why I can't. Our relationship was to remain strictly business, or at least I tried.

Four years of marriage, and everything with Cole has changed. I never knew two people who lived together could be so distant. But I’m not ready to give up on him.

One man wants to break me.

The other is just trying to get even.

Both are lying to me.

Annmric8 ,

Captured my attention from the beginning until the end.

Seductive is the first word I can use to describe Break Even. It begins with a bang and I mean that literally. Cole and Marley have been married for four years. Both are lawyers. They have been trying to get pregnant for seven months. Something is missing from Cole that was once present. Marley is unsatisfied and feeling empty in her marriage. Cole and Marley have become too consumed in the law firm. Cole is traveling and Marley spends her days in the office. They rarely see each other and when they do it's only for sex. A disconnect is happening. Cole is the doting husband when he is present but while away he is literally distant. Cole does not seem too concerned with the amount of time he spends away from Marley.
Story's told from Marley's POV. Marley is blinded by her love and devotion to her husband Cole. Marley is focused on creating a baby which blinds her of the broken promises Cole keeps piling up. Marley gives Cole a second chance.
Then Marley is challenged and tempted by River a client of hers that has her head spinning. Marley is stubborn where River is difficult. Together they are intense.
Lisa did a great job of convincing me of Marley's doubts about love. Then River is thrown in like a tsunami challenging that doubt and bumping it up a notch.
Two men are pining for Marley. One man wants to break her while the other wants to claim her.
River is trouble with a capital T. He is too tempting for the doubtful Marley. His game playing is wrecking havoc on her ideals.
The temptation creates for a lustful story full of passion and desire. A page turner. I feel every word as it seductively caresses my skin. I can visualize each touch, each kiss, each breath, and each stare. The sex scenes are epic. Great word choices that make you feel apart of the story. I was drawn in.
One man promises forever while another man promises a few days. Would you rather have forever or a few days with a man who can guarantee he will rock your world sexually? A few nights of unbridled passion where you are the center and focus of his attention. Your pleasure is the only reward for the night.
It's a story you will want to read from cover to cover. It stays in your mind resonating throughout the day and night. I search long and hard to find story's that capture my attention to the point of awaking me in my sleep because the characters actions keep me thinking. This is that story. I enjoyed every twist and turn. The way the story unfolded was original and unique and done with careful precision.
