Hilarious Romantic comedy
“Max Hilton is my high school nemesis turned billionaire. And tomorrow I deliver his lunch order. In a cat costume.” That’s the tagline that hooked me on this book! Max Hilton & Mia Corelli are enemies from high school! He’s a wealthy billionaire now, with a “how to” in dating books. Mia is a struggling actress that’s working part time as a costume wearing sandwich girl for a food truck and wants nothing more than to get back at Max for his past behavior. When she sees his building is on the schedule for lunch deliveries Mia decides to follow the rules in his book to use on him. Will she win this little game or will it backfire..big time? This is an adorably funny enemies to lovers story. If you like a quick romantic comedy than this is for you. Oh & don’t forget the cheesy puffs! 😉 told in Dual POV
Few people really want to relive high school. This book is about assumptions and misunderstandings. It’s also about the support of good friends. There are parts that have you laughing out loud and parts that bring back all the angst of high school. This is the third book in the series and there are continuing characters who become friends. It’s not necessary to read them in order but it will make them more enjoyable.
Funny and sincere
So I read the book in two days but actually in 24 hours. I laughed a lot. Love is complicated and when you get hurt it can really scar you and close you off to the possibility of finding love again. Lizzie speaks her mind and is authentic. She’s a relatable character. You will laugh aloud a lot. This is definitely a very well written story. It will have you rooting for Theo and Lizzie.
