Publisher Description

Plaintiff appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, New York County (Paula Omansky, J.), entered February 23, 2000, which granted defendants' motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint. Plaintiff Martha Ellen Brennan claims that, on the basis of her sexual orientation, her former employer, the Metropolitan Opera Association (the ""Met""), her former supervisor at the Met, David Kneuss, and the Met's general manager, Joseph Volpe, refused to renew her contract and subjected her to a hostile work environment, in violation of New York City law. She appeals from an order granting summary judgment to defendants, and we affirm.
