Briana's Bistro

"Please. Let me see you again, at least. Let me take you to the art gallery tomorrow. Okay? Is it a date?" She seemed to think for a moment, and I fully expected her to decline. She was probably pondering what fun she could have with a man whose heart only beat once every minute. I was amazed to see that her smile returned. 

The year is 2003. It's been three years since that fateful night when Peter Travis' first love was killed by a drunk driver. In an effort to forget his pain, he has sold his house in the country where he once lived in solitude to open "Briana's Bistro" in downtown Ottawa. On the night of the grand opening, Peter meets a stunning blonde woman and he can't get her off his mind. Love has abandoned him and yet she stirs emotions in him that have long lied dormant. He is torn between guilt and passion and finally relinquishes his heart. However, the mystery woman harbours a secret about the drunk driver who killed the love of Peter's life. Guilt-ridden, she wants to know that Peter is okay, and never intending to fall in love with him, she lies to him about her name and identity. Will love prevail?
