Bringing The Storm

On November 7, 1990, The Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center launched as the first Space EdVentures Space Center. CMSEC inspired young minds using the discipline of wonder for 22 years and proved that “There is nothing so far removed from us to be beyond our reach, or so far hidden that we cannot discover it.” - René Descartes.

In 2012, Discovery Space Center launched as a for-profit spin-off of CMSEC. After a years-long operations struggle, Discovery Space Center recalls a uniquely relevantly educated flight director to duty. That flight director led the team effort that preserved Discovery Space Center and caused unprecedented explosive growth and expansion.
