Broken Emotion

"Broken Emotion" is an expression of true teenage feelings through different situations and against different people. It began as a way to not keep feelings bottled up and has become a way of speaking to others. This book is a collection of poems over a four year period dealing with situations like abandonment, sexual abuse, feeling alone, self inflicted wounds, and more. Each poem tells the story of the author or someone close to her; but more than that, each can also speak to the reader and create a story of their own. These poems show teenagers and adults alike about some of the problems young people face today. It is a very real description of a teenager's feelings when facing such hardships.
