An incredible event almost went unnoticed in the pages of entertainment history. It was 1984: Michael Jackson had placed his Footprints, Hand Print and Autograph into wet cement for the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. When the city cancelled the Walk-of-Fame project, the Stone was forgotten in a basement for over two decades. It was later discovered that the palm of Michael’s Hand Print had the shape of a heart with a profound crack running through it. This caused the stone to quickly gain worldwide notoriety. 


Ironically, after Michael’s death, it was reported that Michael’s daughter placed a broken heart bracelet on Michael’s wrist. Just how did this artifact of Michael Jackson, The Broken Heart Stone, a 300 lb piece of cement, go from the forgotten shadows of obscurity in a Vegas basement to Hollywood’s Eternal Mecca for celebrities, the famous forecourt of the Chinese Theater? It wasn't an easy task!
