Broken Roots

The making of a warrior begins with the birth of an innocent. 'Broken Roots' is based on the true story of the main character, Lenora. She was born into a happy, loving family and a sudden turn for the worse, sends their fairytale life up in smoke. Now a pile of shattered dreams and a life gone wrong are left in the rear view, as a single mother sets out in search of new hope on the horizon. Unprepared for the twists and turns ahead, Lenora and her Mother wrestle with the constant reminder of an undesirable past. Every step for Lenora is a move further away from all that she holds dear. She finds herself in some very dark and scary places as she fights for her very existence. Every time Lenora seems to pull herself up life's slippery slope, she encounters another landslide. Pushing her back further and little by little extinguishing her hope. A life of adversity slowly carves out a warrior from this once innocent girl. Unable to surrender to the darkness that constantly pursues her, Lenora is pulled into a life of purpose. A second chance brings with it an era of intense training.
