This is a wonderful book although sad but you get to find out how Atticus became the monster that he was and why. Erica Stevens writes a note to us her faithful readers about how the idea came to her and how hard it was for her to complete this book. She is truly gifted and feels so much love for her characters that she makes you fall in love with them all over again. Please do not miss reading this last book in the Captive series.
No cord struck with me
I absolutely loved this series but this was my least favorite book. I know the main purpose was to give insight on one of the most hated characters in this series but for me the story just didn't draw interest from me. I picked it up hoping that would change but just didn't intrigue like the others in the series. At most it gave you character development but just really didn't add to the story for me. But I would still recommend at least readers to pick up and read if they want back story and key occurrences in a character's life that molded into them into the person they are today..but definitely not book if you want a light hearted book and happy tone..
I still give this a five star rating because it was so well written. I cried for Genny and I cried for Atticus. It wasn't a love conquers all book but it moved me so much. Well done Erica. Thank you for this book!
