It was okay
First, I thought this was an extension of the Breeds Saga when I purchased the book. After reading it, this is a stand alone story of the jealousies between winged factions (the winged clans, the bastard breeds, and the vultures), humans and a religious nut. There were some standout characters who would have done well in their own story, but Ms. Leigh tied almost all the loose ends. The only avenue open, is Matte’s brother Thorne or her cousin. Maybe now that the stage is set, a follow-on book will bring the rest of the bastard beds over and the storylines will get tighter. I did like the overall premise.
Lora Leigh never disappoints
Even though it’s probably one of her more tamer books it still didn’t disappoint with the building of characters. I think we need to see more of these chronicles ☺️
