Building Faering Elfyn

This is a daily log of the build of the boat Falke’ Embla, a faering based upon the design Elfyn by Iain Oughtred.  A faering is an Old Norse design, meaning four-oared.  These boats were developed in the Viking era and are still in use in Norway. The log is my experience as an amateur boat builder and hopefully will give some insight to a fellow amateur and maybe the incentive to build your own.
