Burnum finds his way Burnum finds his way

Publisher Description

Long ago in Australia there was a boy from the Wiradjuri tribe name Burnum. His name means ‘Great Warrior.’ He wanted to be a warrior like his dad but was too young to go with the men. This is a story about how he survives a night alone in the bush.

The Tools, Totems & Tucker Enviro-Stories program was run with students from across the central west and tableland regions of New South Wales in 2014. These students were given the opportunity to learn about traditional Aboriginal culture from local experts and their teachers. Students used what they learnt to create stories about Aboriginal culture and how this culture was used in the past and in current times. There have been ten books produced as part of this program.
