I hear screams in my head.

I see blood on my hands.

When I look in the mirror I see a stranger.

How is it that I can remember bits and pieces of my life, but nothing of any importance and nothing that makes any sense? Everything is twisted and nothing is right. I’m choking with every breath I take, suffocating on the unknown.

Two days ago, everything changed. Two days ago, the people I should trust the most became strangers in my convoluted head. The dreams I have can’t be real. The fleeting memories that whisper through my mind are scary and wrong…they have to be. If they aren’t, I have something much worse to fear than my fractured mind. I need to find out the truth, even if it destroys me.

I've been told my name is Ravenna Duskin. I’m eighteen years old and I live in a prison…

So far I have been enjoying the book....up until page 418. I've really been curious what happened, who did it, and with the most recent unveiled information.....very interested in seeing what happens next. However, I am very disappointed that the author chose the word "LOL" to use in the story. First off "LOL" isn't a word. Second, it's an acronym used in the 21st century by people because of TEXTING. There weren't even cell phones in the era this book is based in. Very disappointed the author chose to use "LOL". I mean, there are much better words or phrases to use. Still going to continue reading; but very disappointed in that.

I read your typical teenage romance novels and I eat them up. This is not that. It is freaky and interesting. It didn't life my spirits but defiantly kept me entertained. Great writing too!

Ravenna is eighteen and lives in a prison with her parents. Ravenna struggles to regain her memory from suffering a two day coma.
Its got an eerie feeling to it. Ravenna is trying to ask the questions that need answers for what happened to her. Ravenna questions everyone she knows. But all anyone keeps informing her is that she is a good girl.
Something is brewing inside that prison. Some secret Ravenna discovered that is hidden.
I find the story is challenging trying to unravel the secrets. Not just unknown information about Ravenna but the true secrets inside the prison. It's a dark story. It's quite different from Tara's other stories and that's what is appealing to me. I love the feeling of being watched and falling off the edge. It's creepy and alluring.
I'm super thrilled Tara wrote this psychological thriller. It's challenging finding good stories and when a favorite and familiar author writes a story this good it's a bonus. I'm anxiously awaiting on pins and needles as the truth unfolds.
This was twisted and evil. I'm having weird thoughts about the epilogue to this story. It's demented. It's so bad it's good. Great writing. I was not too surprised by the unveiling. I thought it was clever and disturbing. It all made sense in the end. I'm more worried about my frame of mind because I enjoyed it.
Psychological thriller that will have you guessing along the way. It's a standalone.
