Out of Birdland comes By George! The Birds Are Copying Us, another visit with birds by humorist George Roleder
Birds contribute articles to their Avian Times: Lost luggage is slowing migration. Readers are coached to avoid gimmicks when buying a new nest. Rage must be reduced to stop carnage along the flyways, etc. Space given to bird psychologist Ann Hinga includes counsel for grieving birds over the loss of their family nest, and advice when shopping for food is too tough for males.
This is a book of humorous short stories that will challenge serious birders to check their handbooks, while supplying a chuckle to all who can enjoy a By George! view of the avian world.
