The defendant, McLeod, contends and testified, "Five hundred dollars of this draft was charged to me as a member of the firm.
$25000.00 was charged to Mr. Barton." But is this statement true, or was the referee justified in finding that five hundred
dollars of this draft never was charged to McLeod or deposited with the bank to McLeod's credit at all or in part payment
of ten shares of the stock of the bank .
