California Elementary School

We are an Apple Distinguished School located in Orange, CA about 15 minutes from Disneyland in the heart of Orange County.  We are a k-5th grade public school in the Orange Unified School District.  Our story is one of a true American success story.  A vast majority of our students are first generation Americans, over 75% of our students are English Language Learners, and over 89% of our students qualify for the Free and/or Reduced Lunch program.  Five years ago over 85% of our students struggled to read, were limited in their ability to express oral language, and had minimal access to technology.  Fast forward to today where the achievement has switched and 85% of our students are reading at or above grade level, our school has exceeded all targets for English Language Learners, and we have leveled the Technology Gap by providing all students a school issued iPad that students can access 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a fully integrated curriculum.  In addition, we have developed an innovative Dual Spanish Immersion Program and an Inclusive Schooling Program where students thrive with technology integration.
