Publisher Description
The new Loving on the Edge novel by the New York Times bestselling author of Nothing Between Us and Need You Tonight…
Oakley Easton wants two things: to be a good mom to her daughter and to ditch her less than ideal night job. Hooking up with bad boy drummer Pike Ryland? Not on the agenda. She needs a promotion. Not sex, tattoos and rock ’n’ roll.
Pike isn’t about to let Ms. Prim and Proper shut him down so easily, especially when he stumbles upon Oakley’s sexy night job. She’s only playing a role on those late night calls with strangers, but when he gets her on the line, all bets are off. He won’t stop until that sultry voice is calling his name for real.
But as they move from anonymous fantasies in the dark to the flesh-on-hot-flesh reality of the bedroom, the risk of falling in love becomes all too high. And the safe, quiet world that Oakley’s worked so hard to create is about to be exposed to the one person who could ruin it all.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Loren's thoroughly pleasing seventh Loving on the Edge erotic romance (after Nothing Between Us) shines the spotlight on rebellious drummer Pike Ryland, who's torn between his wild rock star lifestyle and his attraction to Oakley Easton. She's a well-behaved receptionist by day and a phone sex operator by night; when Pike discovers her secret job, he senses a fellow wild spirit and throws caution to the wind. What starts as flirtation swiftly escalates into pulse-pounding, white-knuckle carnal satisfaction that leaves them both reeling, physically and emotionally. Loren continues to portray safe, sexy, consensual BDSM, with Pike happily introducing Oakley (who's not especially vanilla to start with) to all manner of toys and techniques, in a series of encounters that practically sets the pages on fire. The romance is as sweet as the action is hot, and there's something deeply satisfying about the way this couple comes together. Oakley's 11-year-old daughter, a stereotype-busting adorably punk girl with autism, will immediately win readers' hearts. A bonus story features a submissive doctor in need of emotional healing finding a dominant woman who can push him past his limits.

Maybe The Best In the Series
The description didn’t do this story justice, and I read it last in the Loving series, but it’s my favorite. Read it twice. A sensitive yet deliciously perverse male with tough-as-nails single mom… all the heart and heat you could want.
Heartwarmingly HOTT
Been binging for weeks on end reading all of Roni Lorens books in entirety for the first time and nearly complete. I've absolutely loved each story but Pike and Oakley's story . . . made my heart melt.
After reading Not Until You and being introduced to Pike and Foster, my heart ached when reading about his childhood backstory and what some of his tattoos hide. The development of both Pike and Oakley were beyond amazing.
Cannot say enough about this book . . . this story of all I've read thus far has got to be the absolutely HOTTEST read.
