Calligraphic Rage

We are all, each and every one of us, another’s child.


The interwoven tragedies of gun violence, prejudice, and inequality affect us all; every injury suffered, or life taken, by senseless violence leaves a permanent stain upon society. Those of us who have not directly experienced such loss can, at best, imperfectly imagine the pain and terror felt by the survivors -- or by the mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters left behind, grieving the dead. We can, however, share our empathy. Their pain, ultimately, will become ours to bear.


The modernist haiku found within Calligraphic Rage is a poetic commentary that speaks to this societal tragedy.
