Camilla's Castle

The story opens with Camilla's triumph, for the reply to her advertisement has just come in, and that reply decides the immediate future of the Carmichael family. They rent a real castle in Brittany.

A castle, however, can have its disadvantages, especially when unauthorized people go out and in at will, mysteriously, after dark.

How such happenings were discovered by the young Carmichaels and put an end to with the help of The Skipper and her crew of Sea Guides; and the parts played by Etoile de Ruvigny and her devoted servants, is a thrilling narrative unrolled beneath the glory of a Brittany noon, and in the misty silence of a Brittany night.
