Sweet!!! AN END
This is a pretty fracking sweet book full (FULL) of decisions. I have only one problem. After like every 15 minutes of reading you reach an end. Basically all you can do is get off Manhattan island and then it ends. Also, just to let ye younglings know, this book is very profane and gory!!!
Huge Disappointment
I love the concept of this book, but I was woefully disappointed in its delivery. An 'adult' choose your own adventure zombie survival adventure? Sounds great, but I recommend not wasting your money.
Without giving away any spoilers, it is hard to explain how frustrated I was with the idiotic actions the protagonist takes regardless of your choices. The book is marketed to readers who are sick and tired of characters making bad decisions in situations, that the choices are now up to us, but in reality your protagonist will continue to make terrible decisions regardless of your choices.
For example (again I don't want to give spoilers so I won't give many specifics); for a walk across Manhattan your character will fill his backpack with a Nintendo DS and Hustler magazines. These are so called "essentials". And no, you are not given the choice of what to take. When gathering 'supplies' at a local bodega, your character is primarily concerned with beer. Zombies coming behind you? Wait for hours at Battery Park in a crowd waiting for a ferry instead of being more proactive.
TL;DR Your protagonist will still make bad decisions regardless of your choices. If you want to help your beer and porn focused fool in a series of blunders, overpay for this disappointing read.
Choose Your own Adventure; Zombie style
Kool book. The only thing I have a problem with is the price.
