The Cowboy Way
Levi Haywood and Carrie Lynn Waite have been in love for years. What they have not been is in the same town. He left her and joined the Marine's, she left and went to anither state to stay with family. It has been 6 years since they have seen one another.
Levi is back for good and investing in her father's farm. He now owns the majority and is planning to make changes to bring steady income. Changes Carrie Lynn will not approve of if the alter the state of the land.
Carrie Lynn, comes for a visit to see her father and give him bad news about her health. This visit should be bittersweet. Until she sees Levi. Runs into him everywhere. He is working the ranch, and following her around. He says they have things to discuss.
Levi wants to tell Carrie Lynn how he feels. How he has always felt. He and her father made the decision to send her away 6 years ago and give her a better life than she would have had bouncing around with a Marine. Now, he knows what he wants and it's Carrie Lynn.
They are both incredibly stubborn and strong characters. You can feel the sincerity of their feelings, though. I love the sweet story and how it continues a great series. This is book # 3 in the Pain River Ranch series.
