Cantor, a Finnian Giant has been trapped in a book for 300 years because a wizard assigned to him when he left the land of the Finnian without permission has decreed Cantor needed to learn patience.
Della, a very large woman buys the book and falls in love with the giant in the story.
However they are not prepared to live in modern America together.
