Cap
Good easy read!
Could they bring healing and love to their hearts?
Cap is the fifteenth book in the Gold Hockey series, or the sixth book in Season Two, but could be read as a stand alone. Jess hides her dark past behind smiles and jokes, but Josh brings out her worst attitude. Josh has spent three years bringing fire to Jess’ eyes, but now he’s after her heart. These two broken souls feel inadequate and hurt, but could they bring healing, joy, and love back to their hearts?
This was one of those books that as I started, I just kept reading, and next thing I knew, the book was over and I was not ready to let them go! This book is long (although I never felt like it dragged) and intense and I adored how everything unfolded between Jess and Josh. Jess had a crazy upbringing that had my heart hurting and her heart closed off. She felt like she had to put on a face for her friends to like and accept who she was, but I loved that Josh (and her friends) could see beyond the mask and pushed her to open up for healing and love. Josh was absolutely amazing for Jess, even though he had his own inner battles he had to fight through. He was patient and kind, trusting and constantly showing Jess that he was there for her, no matter what she was feeling or how she was acting. I loved that they worked on healing each other and could take the blinders off of each other’s eyes. I loved their chemistry, I loved their ups and downs, and I loved their connection! There was some intense drama happening in the background, but my attention was focused entirely on this couple! I loved seeing some familiar faces and I love how much of a family the Gold truly feels like! I adore this series and am already really excited for the next book!
