Loved it!
Didn’t finish it
It has an interesting premise, but the story seems like it started in the middle? Like you’re just thrown in, and there’s a lot happening, and there’s no build up or real introduction. This can be executed well, or it can be executed poorly. I’d say this story is in the middle of those two—I was able to eventually grasp what was going on, but I did wonder for a while if maybe this was a sequel or something, and I was missing important information.
And there is absolutely no romantic or sexual tension between the protagonist, cara, and the love interest, IMO. Too much telling, too little showing. The characters seem one dimensional and I just lost interest. The summary had so much potential for something amazing, but it feels like the author is flying through the beginning (the meeting, the relationship building) to get to some further point in the story faster? I don’t know. I just lost interest because the story is racing in places it should be strolling. No real relationship building, but again, I didn’t finish it, so maybe it gets better as you go?
Better than book 1
Book one intrigued me but book two I couldn't drop Cara story was fun! Now I want to know Trisha's story!
