Publisher Description
Kitty was not only beautiful but also incredibly intelligent—except when it came to relationships. It seemed if a guy was a loser, corrupt, deadbeat or unavailable, she was completely and utterly attracted to him. She definitely had a “type,” and all of them had been one bad decision after another.
Dallas had trouble of his own. Finding women wasn’t a problem—he could charm the pants off almost anyone—but most of those “pantless” women ended up being a few bananas short of a fruit basket. Not always the best candidates for his sex-without-strings philosophy. He was one date away from ending up a 60 Minutes special.
While both of them were at the top of their game professionally—she a high-powered executive assistant, and he one of the best tattooists in the city—their personal lives had become a dumpster fire.
No one in their right mind would have suggested they join forces to help each other wade through the crazy. Surely that was a recipe for disaster? But without reason, logic or even sanity on their side, they decided to do it anyway.
It was a hot mess primed for a head-on

Car Crash was pure chemistry!
Car Crash was pure chemistry! I don't know if I've ever read a story where both characters are so naive and clueless about love and dating, yet also so perfectly matched for one another. It was like reading a world where Joey and Phoebe of Friends finally fall in love.
Dallas is a mimbo, sort of proud of the fact, but also full of charisma, life of the party, the guy who never leaves anywhere without the number of a girl. Unfortunately, because he doesn't seem to discriminate he also seems to have his bad luck when it comes to clingers, crazies, and committers. He does his best to be up front that he isn't looking for anything long term, that he is just in it for a good time, but no matter what he says, sometimes the woman just doesn't understand.
Kitty is book smart, but relationship dumb. She always seems to attract the worst men in her life. Whether they are already married and don't tell her, or they steal her underwear and sell it on ebay, or they happen to have a felony and they don't reveal their crimes until they are getting arrested for their next one. No matter what she does, she just seems to be a magnet for horrible men.
Dallas and Kitty did spend one night together months ago, but it was that, one night. Since then they were just friends, as they both have their hot mess relationship lives to deal with. However, after an idea gets into their heads about what a hot mess they both are they decide to try an experiment; help each other out in their dating lives and after one month sleep together again and see if there is any difference than what they experienced before. To them their plan is brilliant, what could possibly go wrong?
To everyone else in their lives they can see the imminent car crash awaiting Dallas and Kitty, but that is what makes this book so adorably cute and funny. Both Dallas and Kitty are naive that you seriously don't know what they are going to do next. They are unlike anybody I've read before and it was such a fun journey to read.
I loved that there was no underlying motivation, no jealousy running rampant, or preemptive reason for these two to get together, it was pure clueless romance and they were a perfect match, Car Crash was a joy to read.
