When Harry Carey fired a shotgun at an unknown car that had been repeatedly trespassing on his rural property, he unwittingly triggered a series of events that would land him in jail and blow his family apart. CareyOn is the true story of the Carey family, who swapped their suburban home in Toronto for a hobby farm near Orangeville, Ontario in 1975. Told from the point of view of two teenage sisters, Cindy and Natalie Carey, CareyOn witnesses the unravelling of the family in the wake of Natalie’s premature departure, and explores the impact of being abandoned.
