From Kamery Solomon, #1 bestselling genre author and creator of the international bestseller SWEPT AWAY, comes CARRIED AWAY (The Swept Away Saga, Book Two), a continuation of the time travel, pirate adventure that stole your heart!
Mark Bell is being haunted.
Ever since his friend, Samantha, drowned in the Treasure Pit, he’s been running from her ghost. When his path takes him to a historical site and shipwreck in Texas, he hopes the past will stay where it belongs. However, the more he uncovers, the clearer it becomes that something is not right. Old friends need his help, and he doesn’t know if he’s the man to get the job done.
Samantha O’Rourke is a time traveler trying to survive in the past. Trapped in the social pyramid of the French Court and the secret society her husband, Tristan, defends, she feels more out of place than ever before. Nothing ever stops a treasure hunter for long, though, and she soon finds herself caught up in another mystery, only to have life yanked to a precarious perch, where only the truly strong will survive.
Can the future be changed? Or is everything set in stone, destined to follow only one course?

Loved this book! Totally awesome!
Books 1 & 2
Book 1: Swept Away
It took me a while to get into this story, but once I did, I devoured it. Initially I was worried that this was another story of a weak woman who comes completely undone over a man, but Samantha Greene is a sword-wielding bada$$ who can certainly take care of herself. If you like romance, time travel, pirates and their treasure, and a little magic, this is the book for you! It was so good that I was willing to pay for book 2. Review below.
Book 2: Carried Away
It saddens me to say that this book was a huge disappointment. The beginning was great, but the rest dragged on for what felt like forever. I skimmed the majority of it and found it absolutely exhausting to read. To top it off, it appears this book was unedited. The possessive apostrophe is repeatedly omitted, and the word "afterword" is twice used when the author meant "afterward". There were also at least three instances of a double negative used with the word "hardly"; "without hardly" (x2) and "wouldn't hardly" (x1). Finally, the author regularly writes "There's a lot of..." rather than, "There ARE a lot of." Speaking this way isn't the absolute worst grammatical error one can make, but actually writing it is a pretty major error in my opinion. These types of mistakes were so vast that they distracted from the story which was already fairly dull and long-winded. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend book 2. Save your money and stop with book 1.
This is a review of the first three books. Loved the story. The characters were easy to love. I wouldn't say it's appropriate for all ages though. There are some mild sex scenes. There are also several gory fight scenes. But, in spite of this, the story is captivating. I read the entire series in the days.
For the entire first book, I thought that the only paranormal element was the time travel. (I appreciate her honesty about this by the way). The additional elements are added intelligently.
