Publisher Description
Richard Schickel's text, combining critical analysis and a re-interpretation of all the available biographical information, masterfully maps the intersections where a great star's personal history and his screen personality met in a style as elegant, graceful and witty as the actor himself.

Technical glitches
It is a shame that formatting issues tarnish an otherwise interesting read. Hundreds of words are missing a space to separate them and just as many are hyphenated for no reason. No amount of adjusting the type size could make things line up. Also the photos at the end are so low res that they are worthless.
