Just beautiful...
Wow! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! This was a wonderful story and I read it all in one sitting! I found it amazing how Jake, the player, was finally taken in by not only a woman unlike any that he had "bedded" before, but also her child. I would have thought that the child would have sent him running. Jeannette surprised me, too. She was a good mother in her own way. Had to love her.
And funny how Roger, MD finally found real interest in Charlotte just when he realized that someone else was interested. I think he would have migrated back to his old ways eventually, anyway. I think he liked the thought of Charlotte always being available for him, whether he wanted
her or not.
I would have liked to have understood what the beef was between Jake and Harper.
Anyway... Well done, well written.
