We fell in love with this lively adventure about a neurodiverse woman who can travel back in time. When Cassandra’s entire life implodes in a single day, she’s devastated. But when she wakes up the next morning, Cassandra finds herself transported 24 hours into the past, giving her a second chance to fix her mistakes. Holly Smale, author of the popular Geek Girl series, beautifully blends heartbreak, humor, and personal growth as Cassandra takes a trial-and-error approach to time travel. We loved all the subtle emotional nuances and challenges that pop up for Cassandra, as well as Smale’s endearing cast of supporting characters. Happy I read this
A unique perspective and a fun story that kept me turning the pages.
Annoyed
It was ok. I am annoyed that from like page 10 it was clear that she is neurodivergent in this day and age, I would like to think that we are more educated and that the world around her would have helped her into a diagnosis and help and that as educated as she is, she would have known that she was on the spectrum. I also do not like how they painted her as a super annoying person with all these quirks instead of highlighting some of the amazingness that most people on the spectrum hold.
